New iPhone app lets you control your tunes from your pocket

A new iPhone / iPod Touch application called PocketTouch has surfaced, and may be the answer to a common problem with touch-screen devices like the iPhone. PocketTouch is a simple interface that allows you to control the playback of your iPhone’s songs without having to look at the screen and aim for a small button. The iPod line has a touch scrollwheel, but also has four tactile buttons that make them easy to use while in your pocket. The iPhone, which forgoes these buttons completely, becomes all but useless when out of sight. This is where PocketTouch comes in. Just fire up the app and use the following functions to control the iPod function:

* Slide left(to go back a track)
* Slide right(to go forward a track)
* Slide right(to go forward a track)
* Slide up(to increase volume)
* Slide down(to decrease volume)
