Despite the availability of Post-its still around to litter our work desks, it’s sometimes more convenient to stick to the digital alternative and keep things a little more tidy. Case in point is developer John Robinson’s ongoing homebrew project, RemoteNote, for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch.

This handy little app allows you to remotely edit the notes you saved on your favored Apple gadget via any Internet browser. The latest build, version 1.0.3, introduces several useful features which further increases the application’s functionality.

The new Restore feature basically allows users to restore notes from a previously saved backup. Using this feature creates a backup file saved to your computer, which can then be used to load all of your previously saved notes after you restore or jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch.

In addition, a Preference option has also been added to RemoteNote 1.0.3 which allows you to choose font type, size, IME Mode and Text Encoding. All in all, this was a very substantial update to such a useful application.

You can easily download RemoteNote 1.0.3 through the Community Sources using your Installer.app. The application has been tested on iPhone firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4, but should also run on older firmware versions.
